Closure of the Year of Consecrated Life

Program for the Closure of the Year of Consecrated Life

•    The gathering will begin on January 28 with a prayer vigil at Saint Peter’s.

•    Friday, January 29, 2016, a meeting with all participants will take place in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican to focus on the different forms of consecrated life. 
•    On Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31, participants from each of the forms of consecrated life will regroup at various Pontifical Universities. 
•    The Pope will meet the participants in an audience on Monday, February 1: this will be the second day of meeting “together”
•    A pilgrimage for the Year of Mercy is planned for the morning of February 2, at the basilicas of Saint Paul outside the Walls and Saint Mary Major. 

On the afternoon of February 2nd at St. Peter’s Basilica, for the closing of the Year of Consecrated Life, Pope Francis will preside during the Mass of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple in Jerusalem.
