Pope Francis’ Message for World Day of Peace 2016

"Overcome indifference and win peace!" is the theme of Pope Francis’ message for the 49th World Day of Peace, on January 1, 2016.

The message was presented at the Vatican on December 15, by Cardinal Peter Turkson, President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, by Mrs. Flaminia Giovanelli, under-secretary of this dicastery, who ensured continuity with the magesterium of the last popes, and by Mr. Vittorio V. Alberti, official of this same dicastery, and who specifically addressed the scourge of corruption.
