Closure of the Year of Consecrated Life

The Year of Consecrated Life will conclude with an international meeting entitled “Consecrated Life and Communion” and will gather more than 6,000 consecrated men and women from all over the world.

This event, which will take place in Rome from Thursday, January 28 to Tuesday, February 2, 2016 to mark the closure of the Year of Consecrated Life (November 30, 2014 – February 2, 2016), was announced at the Vatican on Monday December 14, 2015 by Cardinal Joao Braz de Aviz, Prefect of the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life and by Archbishop Jose Rodriguez Carballo, O.F.M., secretary of the same Congregation. They also presented the document entitled “Identity and Mission of the Religious Brother in the Church”.
