102nd World Day of Migrants and Refugees

Sunday, January 17, 2016, the Church celebrates the 102nd World Day of Migrants and Refugees for which Pope Francis has chosen as the theme for prayer, reflection and his message: “Migrants and Refugees Challenge Us. The Response of the Gospel of Mercy”

The latest migrant disaster, in which thousands are scrambling to reach the EU, has brought more attention to the tragic issue of refugees trying to cross to Europe. The UN says refugee and migrant arrivals in the EU surpassed one million in 2015 after fleeing war-torn countries such as Iraq, Syria and Libya…  (“The Telegraph” by Joe Daunt, and Myles Burke, additional video editing by Charlotte Krol 11:59AM GMT 22 Dec 2015)
