Simon Larivière’s Magnificent Presentation

On April 5, 2016, Simon Larivière, a student pursuing a doctorate in piano interpretation at the Université de Montréal, under the direction of Jean Saulnier, played his final doctoral recital at Maison Jésus-Marie.

This superb program included the French Suite No. 4 in E flat major, BWV 815 by J.S. Bach, M. Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and Sonata No. 8 in B flat major, Op. 84 by S. Prokofiev

The audience greatly appreciated this presentation.  Simon Larivière, is already the recipient of several awards including first prize in the Canadian Music Competition in 2008. It should be added that, as part of an international exchange, he recently completed a year of studies in the School of Music at the University of Geneva, with the pianist Sylviane Deferne
