On the Road to the 34th General Chapter - Week 1

In preparation for our General Chapter this summer, and keeping with the spirituality of Pentecost, a prayer to the Holy Spirit will be posted every Thursday during the months of May and June.

You are the Spirit of God, the Creator, 
You are the Spirit of Jesus, the Saviour,
You are the Love of the Father and the Son,
Come, Spirit of God.
 
You are light in our darkness,
You are friend of the downtrodden, 
You are solace for wounded hearts,
Come, Spirit of God. 

You are our protector,
You are friend of the poor of heart, 
You cleanse hearts that are sullied, 
Come, Spirit of God. 
 
You are strength in our struggles,
You are breath for our faith,
You are hope for hearts that are overwhelmed,
Come, Spirit of God.
 
You are the fire of truth,
You are the wind of freedom,
You are the joy of the gift of life,
Come, Spirit of God.
