The Success of a Music Study Program unique in Quebec

In an article published in the Journal of the Quebec Provincial Leadership Team, we were reminded of the steps taken by the Vincent-d’Indy School of Music to establish a Musique-études curriculum that is unique in Quebec, and which spans the gamut, from the elementary level up to and including the college level. Noting the importance of learning music from a very young age, this article refers to the collaborative work between various institutions.

As a result, this initiative was implemented at Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie in 2012, followed two years later by an equally successful endeavour at École Saint-Joseph.  

Since the teaching of music is part of the DNA of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM), the members of the ELP could only welcome this work of collaborative partnership for the education of young people.       Continue to the article
