Open your heart to others ... through poetry

"You have touched my heart," said one Sister after the performance by nine poets who came to meet the Sisters on the three floors of Maison Jésus-Marie. The proximity to the guests, the beauty of the texts and the warmth of the dialogue brought a touch of magic to this visit, which took place on Valentine's Day, February 14th. The enthusiastic response of the Sisters, expressed through their smiles, their twinkling eyes and the content of the conversations, confirmed the relevance of this type of event to all the Sisters, including those who are ill.

Judging from the testimonies received, this was a successful activity. "You have warmed my soul," said one of the Sisters, while another cordially thanked the representatives of the Association of Les Amis de la poésie de Longueuil  for their presentation. This organization, headed by Rose Lévesque, a personality well-known to the Sisters, has as its goal “to encourage people of all ages to read, write and listen to poetry”. The nine participating poets gave details about several of their compositions on the themes of love, friendship and nature before presenting a compilation of some of these texts.
