The OSDL’s “Portée Pédagogique” Series: discovering and enjoying classical music

Since its beginning in 1986, the Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil (OSDL) has set in motion several initiatives which have achieved considerable success, including the “Portée Pédagogique” Series. The latter, supported by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM), makes it possible for the families of the participating students "to have the experience of attending a concert - for the first time in some cases - and is a great moment of family pride in all cases." 

While emphasizing the impact of this “Portée Pédagogique” Series, an article in the Journal of the Quebec Provincial Leadership Team (ELP) draws attention to two new initiatives. These projects, which will be launched during the coming year, will enable young people to deepen their knowledge of classical music. To learn more…
