Tasting taffy on snow at Maison Jésus-Marie

On a beautiful afternoon in March, a "sugar shack" activity was organized by the Recreation Committee from Maison Jésus-Marie, with the help of Chef Jacques Jodoin. The latter had prepared, among other things, trays of snow stored in the refrigerator, to provide what was needed for this tasting of syrup poured over the snow.

In the open area on the 2nd floor of Pavillon Saint-Charles, the Sisters and guests for the day were able to satisfy their “sweet tooth”. No fewer than 70 people enthusiastically participated in this most enjoyable activity.

It was an opportunity, thanks to the information provided by the organizing committee, for some to recall good memories of past sugar shack visits as well as for others to discover its origin and the process of manufacturing various maple products.  See the photos.
