A Weekend in Val Morin

During the weekend of May 13 to the 15th, we welcomed a group of 19 women who followed an intense session on the spirituality of Alcholics Anonymous.  We are pleased to share what they wrote about their experience.

Nineteen women came together to this beautiful place beside Lac Raymond in Val Morin. The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary warmly welcomed us to this very peaceful area. We greatly appreciated the beautiful spring flowers and large rocks just outside of our meeting room where we focused our study on spirituality.

We had reserved “Le Val” and “Le Pain”.  The rooms were clean, neat, simply decorated and the beds were comfortable!  These charming Sisters even provided us with umbrellas, knowing that there was the possibility of rain showers.  We had three rooms available for our use: for meeting, for meditation and for snacks.

Throughout the weekend, the cook prepared excellent “home-cooked” meals, which included salad, soup, a main dish and succulent desserts, all served as a buffet.  We were truly delighted!

We are very grateful to Sister Cecile Coiteux and her staff for all the confidance and hospitality shown to us during our stay.

We want to highlight that we leave here replenished in body and spirit.

Collette Durand, Martine Sauvageau and the participants.
