Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long

Sunday afternoon, December 4th, our Anglophone Sisters and Associates, dressed in festive Christmas colours and sporting Santa hats or “antlers”, led a vibrant sing-a-long of Christmas Carols, in both English and French, in the chapel at Maison Jésus-Marie.

This has been an annual tradition for many years.  Sister Lorna Cooney SNJM, our director and Richard Brisebois, our enthusiastic guitar player, led us in the exuberant singing, accompanied by bells and tambourines.

During the song, “Jingle Bell Rock”, members of the choir encouraged some of the Sisters to get up and dance.  Candy canes and chocolate balls were also distributed to each person.  Thanks to closed-circuit television, the Sisters in the infirmary were also able to enjoy and participate in this sing-a-long.

At the end, a beautiful poinsettia was presented to Sister Evelyn Bastien, the local animator of Maison Jésus-Marie.  Everyone was then invited to the cafeteria for some delicious refreshments.

May the spirit of Christmas

spread throughout the world

during 2012!!!
