Earth Day 2012: Health and Environment

Concerned about the links between our environment and our health, Earth Day Quebec has decided to use this subject for its theme from 2012 to 2013.

Does pollution in large urban centers influence the health of Aboriginal People?  Does climate change threaten our mental health?  Can the  drugs we consume be responsible for the disappearance of certain species of plants?  And, can fish that ingest plastic affect our health?

Here are some things to reflect on this April 22, 2012. Walks will be organized in many places, and petitions can be sent to our political leaders.  Also at 2 p.m. the bells of all the churches will ring on this Earth Day.

A large gathering will be held on April 22nd, starting at 2 p.m. in the Place des Festivals, in the Quartier des Spectacles of downtown Montréal (right beside Place des Arts)
