A Word of Thanks from MATM (Montreal Anti-Trafficking Movement)

The Montreal Anti-Trafficking Movement (MATM) is very happy with the results of their action to make those in the hotel industry aware of the phenomenon of human trafficking and to offer them formation on this topic. Thirty-seven hotels asked to receive documents helping them to recognize victims of trafficking and 19 requested formation.

Annie Robert of the R.C.M.P., who works with us, was in charge of formation. This success was also due to the participation of nine other communities of women religious, of the Diocese of Montreal, of CATHII, of ARDF, of members of CLES and of lay people.

We would like to thank the SNJM Sisters who made phone calls.  None of this would have been possible without the help of: Claudette Bastien, Rolland Coderre, Rachel Fréchette, Elisabeth Gagne, Yolande Laberge, Aline Ratelle, Monique Thereault and 3 Sisters from the Mission Sector: Lise Gagnon, Elizabeth Giroux and Helene Harvey.

Sincere thanks for this invaluable collaboration which brought about such positive results.
