Long Live the Galette! (special pancake)

On July 13, in Val-Morin, we brought back a wonderful tradition. In fact, during the time of Sister Benoît-Marie, every Wednesday morning, “Galettes de Sarrasin” (buckwheat cakes) were served at breakfast. As the picture illustrates, Sister Gabrielle Brunet was at the stove.

The Sisters came to the kitchen to serve themselves while singing: "J'aime la galette, savez-vous comment?" (Do you know how much I love buckwheat cakes?) ... to the strains of the accordion which Sister Liette Lessard was wholeheartedly playing.

What joy for us as S.N.J.M.’s and for the Sisters from the different communities who were present.

Bravo Gaby and heartfelt thanks!
