Celebration in La Petite-Patrie

The parish community from La Petite Patrie which includes the parishes of St-Arsène, St-Édouard, St-Étienne and la Mission Ste-Thérèse d’Avila of the Montreal Diocese closed its pastoral year

A note in the booklet handed out to participants read:

“Faithful to our tradition, together we are celebrating la Fete de St-Jean with a beautiful Eucharist which will be followed by a large social celebration on the street and in the big hall at Église St-Arsène.

As Quebeckers, we celebrate our national pride. We thank God for the gift of living in a beautiful province and of being part of a society which is characterized by hospitality and openness to democratic ways, to justice and solidarity.”

The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary from Résidence Marie-Rose-Durocher took part in the preparations for the celebration. Sisters Colette Cossette, Lorraine Beauchamp, Rita Brière, Louise Danis... Several others participated in the festivities from 10h30 to 16h.
