Did you say 107 years old?...

On Sunday, August 21, our oldest SNJM Sister in Quebec began her 108th year!

In fact, from her room in the infirmary, Sister Annette Lemay participated at a Mass of thanksgiving offered for her intentions by her companions and by Sister Luce Boyer who is in charge for that floor.

Father Gilles Fontaine, chaplain, offered best wishes to her at the beginning of the celebration: “It is the first time that I have had the honour of celebrating a 107th birthday!”  And for good reason!

Still alert at the age of 107

A quiet celebration took place in the afternoon. Sister Annette, although still alert is quite weak and so stays in bed.  Her room had been decorated and Sisters from Maison Jésus-Marie and elsewhere came to visit her. Sister's niece was also present for the celebration and her family from Ontario will come to visit her at a later date.

The chocolate cake, which she loves, was shared with everyone. Sister Annette tasted it and found it to be excellent, a diagnosis by a connoisseur!

May life be good to her!!!
