Tribute to Sister Gisèle Lalande

On April 28, the Fondation Eulalie-Durocher (FED) took advantage of its 18th benefit supper to underline the 50th back-to-academics of Sister Gisèle, a committed and dedicated “great lady”. Very active in the school life of Collège Durocher, Sister Gisèle had been a mathematics teacher, along with being in charge of the audiovisual sector.

Since retiring from teaching, she has been a member of the Board of the College in addition to holding a seat on the bursary committee and on the FED Cabinet. Former students from the College who were present at the evening, each in turn highlighted a particular work accomplished by Sister Gisèle and then presented her with a rose. This was a very emotional moment.

The SNJM’s joined in the celebrations through the words of Sister Marie-Paule Demarbre.   Her text is included here as a PDF file.

Bravo Gisèle!

Congratulations from all of us, SNJM!!!
