Sister Anne-Marie Péloquin

“Your Father knows all that you need.Set your heart on the Kingdom
and these other things will be given to you.”
(Lk. 12: 30. 31) April 4, 2009, Sister Anne-Marie Péloquin,her religious name, Lydia-Marie,went home to God at the age of 90.
She had been professed for 72 years. Born in South-Dunham, Quebec, and as a twin, she was the 16th of 17 children.Her parents, Nazaire Péloquin and Lydia Plante had four sets of twins. Having entered the Congregation at the age of 16, Sister Anne-Marie enjoyed community life which gave her a sense of joy and security. She devoted her life in service as refectorian and sacristan. She also oversaw work in the laundry and was “infirmarian” to the sick, in the houses where she lived. “I have always loved my work. I was able to pray and work and help out the teaching Sisters. Before leaving for school each day, some of the Sisters asked me to pray for their intentions. I always confided these intentions to Mary and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.” Having been in the infirmary, for the past 9 years, Sister Anne-Marie spent much time in prayer with the One with whom she had entered into a covenant.
