Pope Francis is inviting all Catholics to pray for the planet next Tuesday, September 1st, on the occasion of World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.
This Day, which he himself instituted on August 6, coincides with a practice by some Orthodox Churches started by the Ecumenical Patriarch Dimitrios in 1989. The Holy Father launched an appeal this Wednesday on the occasion of the General Audience, the 100th since the beginning of his pontificate.
