A time of prayer honoring Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher will take place from 3am to 5am on the night of March 24-25 at the Sanctuaire du Saint-Sacrement (Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament) in Montreal. This period of prayer is included in the program of a night of worship, organized by the Fraternité monastique de Jérusalem, as part of the celebrations of the 375th anniversary of Montreal.
This time of prayer, dedicated to the foundress of the first female religious congregation of Canadian teachers, will be hosted by the FM Band. People are invited to come and pray in the presence of several inspiring figures who have contributed to the founding and development of Montreal.
Besides paying tribute to Blessed Marie-Rose, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM), the night of prayer and adoration will also honour Saint Brother André (Congregation of Holy Cross), Blessed Émilie Gamelin (Sisters of Providence), Marguerite d'Youville (Grey Nuns of Montreal), Blessed Marie-Anne Blondin (Sisters of Sainte-Anne) and Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys (Congregation of Notre Dame).
