Ginette Cyr Charest’s students entirely won over their audience.

Ginette Cyr Charest’s students brought great pleasure to an attentive audience during the concert that took place on June 10, at Maison Jésus-Marie. The twenty young people presented musical works from diverse backgrounds, from jazz to classical to traditional tunes and a popular piece: "Imagine" by John Lennon!

For this occasion, there was also a choir consisting of young people, along with Eloise Clermont, a guest cellist and Alexandre Bourget, guest accompanist at the piano.

Ginette Cyr Charest firmly believes in the contribution of arts in the education of young people. For many years now she has been introducing young people to the arts, to dance, to choral singing and, of course, to instrumental music. Recognized as an associate piano teacher after having obtained her certification in piano pedagogy from the Vincent-d'indy School of Music, she considers the study of music to be limitless.

That is why, to this day, she continues to pursue perfection with Sister Marie-Paule Provost, SNJM, whose support she deeply appreciates.

Along with all her activities, Ginette Cyr Charest teaches a group of twenty students. Over the past few years she has organized, with the involvement of the parents and the young people themselves, several benefit concerts for street kids and a Christmas concert for the children of the Fondation Dr. Gilles Julien.

It is with renewed pleasure that Ginette Cyr Charest’s music class presents a concert at Maison Jésus-Marie. These annual reunions are always appreciated.
