CATHII highlighted December 6th

Members of CATHII and their supporters emphasized the 22nd anniversary of the "École Polytechnique Massacre" in which, on December 6, 1989, 14 women were murdered because they were women. They participated in a public gathering of remembrance uniting about a hundred people in front of the Montreal Palais de justice.

The participants who gathered wore white ribbons and carried banners or posters on which were written solutions for stopping violence against women.  The goal of this gathering was to remind people that despite the myth of equality already attained, violence against women is a major social problem and that the feminist movement is proposing several solutions for putting an end to this violence.
