Jubilee Celebration at Marie-Rose-Durocher

Rejoice my Sisters, yes, rejoice, because on this 6th day of April we are hurrying from different places to come and give thanks to God for the 50 years of religious profession of Sister Louise Danis and Sister Liette Lessard, and the 60 years of fidelity of Sister Yolande Crépeau, Sister Pierrette Désilets and Sister Denise Rivet.

After a warm welcome in our community room, we were invited to go to the chapel where the music of “Jubilate Deo” from the year 2000, was being played.

The Mass presided by Father Jean-Rock Hardy, CSV, was assisted by Father Marcel Bircher, pastor of Saint Paul l’Ermite and of Charlemagne.  Sister Lorraine Mongeon was the emcee.

The choir, directed by Sister Lorraine Beauchamp and accompanied on the organ by Sister Monique Thériault, reverberated in our beautifully decorated.

After the Eucharistic celebration, waiters and waitresses awaited us in the cafeteria where we shared refreshments and camaraderie.

It goes without saying that we also shared some insights into the lives of our jubilarians. And, in keeping with tradition, a gift was presented to each of them.

This celebration ended with a blessing in which all those present participated. Everyone will remember this jubilee celebration.
