A poetry recital in the Kasàlà tradition leads to the discovery of an African art form which celebrates people

The kasàlà poetry recital given recently at Maison Jésus-Marie by the Cercle des poètes (Circle of Poets) from the Montérégie, shed light on this African oral art form. This art form which has existed for millennia has been used for the last twenty years to help people develop confidence and self-esteem.  Catch a glimpse of these poetic and musical rituals as you read further and see the photos.
