Testimony before the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights (Ottawa)


On Monday, May 6, 2013, Mrs. Louise Dionne and Sister Claudette Bastien, S.N.J.M., representatives of CATHII (Comité for action against human trafficking both nationally and internationally) presented testimony as part of the ongoing study of Bill C-452.

This bill, introduced in October 2013 by Mrs. Maria Mourani, Deputy for Ahuntsic, seeks to modify the Criminal Code concerning sexual exploitation and the trafficking of persons.

Two other groups, the Salvation Army and the Council on the Status of Women, also testified at this hearing.
