The Action Committee against internal and international human trafficking (CATHII) has been working for 10 years now to counter trafficking in persons, whether for sexual exploitation or forced labor. Since its inception, the committee, composed of religious communities in Quebec, has managed to become a key player in the fight against this exploitation and the violation of human rights.
The many issues trigger the continued commitment of the members of CATHII, each one who according to her capability tries to help the victims, to monitor the laws and policies on trafficking and to develop alliances with other communities and organizations so as to counter this violence and the infringement on human rights. It is a challenge that the members of CATHII have pledged to meet.
