Saint Patrick’s Day Party, March 17, 2012

Our Sisters and Associates gathered at the Congregational House in Longueuil, on March 17th to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The wearing of the green, the decorations, the music, the Karaoke “sing-along”, the delicious food, a film on the life of Saint Patrick,  and of course, the Irish coffee certainly enhanced this festive occasion.

Our celebration began with a time of prayer during which we watched a video of Jackie Evancho, a young girl gifted with an adult soprano voice, singing “To Believe”.

Each year, we collect money for a specific charitable organization and this year we collected for the Générations Foundation, an organization which, among other activities, provides a hot meal to needy children in 66 schools in Montreal.  During our prayer, we each placed an envelope containing our donation into a basket on the prayer table.

A wonderful time was had by all!
