A prayerful “ADIEU”

A very special gathering took place in the chapel of Résidence Marie-Rose-Durocher: Sister Jacqueline Cossette had just lost her sister Madeleine (Cossette-Lachance) on July 10.

Her family had expressed a special desire for a meaningful prayerful “Adieu" in our chapel. With sympathy and joy, we agreed. Some Sisters gladly collaborated in the preparation and in the celebration itself. The symbol of a tree, taken from the engraved image on the funeral urn, served as the background setting for the prayer.

Community Blessing

Surrounding Jacqueline were her niece Lyse Lachance, daughter of Madeleine and her husband Pierre Primeau, their two daughters Karine and Isabelle, our local community and Sister Lorraine Mongeon, provincial coordinator.

It was a particularly moving moment when the blessing from the Bible (Numbers 6: 24-26) was sung together. The family appreciated our kind support.
