St. Patrick's Day Party 2009

Saturday, March 14th, 47 Sisters and Associates from the 3 English Associate groups came together to celebrate our annual St. Patrick’s Day party.  This year, we enjoyed a deliciously, decadent continental breakfast that was held in St. Malachy’s parish hall. Wonderful decorations, the wearing of the green, Irish music, singing, dancing, jokes, storytelling, door prizes, as well as traditional Irish coffee, were all part of this festive occasion. Sister Rachel Fréchette, provincial coordinator of the Quebec Associates, was presented with a corsage, in honour of her 50 years of religious life.

We concluded the party with a very special time of prayer during which everyone was invited to place a monetary donation into a “pot-of-gold”.  The money raised was given to “Patricia McKenzie Pavilion”, a women’s shelter that is a part of the “Old Brewery Mission” in Montreal.
