The closing of the bicentennial of the birth of Eulalie Durocher was held on Sunday, September 30, during the 11:00 a.m. Eucharistic Celebration at Saint-Matthieu-de-Beloeil Parish. Echoes of the year-long festivities were heard throughout the celebration.
Members of the General and Quebec Provincial Leadership Teams, and about 80 SNJM Sisters and Associates reminded the faithful who were gathered of the “ever-alive presence” of Mother Marie-Rose.
Following the Entrance Procession and after warm greetings from the Pastor, Father André Nolin, Sister Jocelyne Latreille beautifully highlighted the personality and influence of Eulalie, both as a layperson who worked in the Beloeil area for 12 years; and as the future foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary which is dedicated to the education of youth.
