Simplicity of Life and SNJM Lay Consecration

On Saturday morning, September 6th, the Foundation House of the Congregation of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary welcomed six lay consecrated women from the Quebec province, the SNJM Sisters who are accompanying them, and Sister Beverley Wattling, provincial coordinator.

In this historical place which has known the fervor of the first SNJM Sisters (1844), they prayed and shared on a theme which they had chosen: simplicity of life.

An excerpt from the book Configurés au Christ de Laurent Boisvert, éd. Lessius 2013, provided an opportunity for each one to reflect on their lived experience. This time for sharing allowed each one to better identify their current call and to concretely renew their response to this call.

The renewal of vows took place in the Chapel of Maison Jésus-Marie during the Eucharistic celebration in the presence of the Sisters from the local community. A festive meal which followed was an occasion to extend the pleasant conversations.
