Anglophone Associates’ Commitment Ceremony

On November 11 2012, two Associates, Louise Eberwein and Anthony Pietroniro made their initial commitment during a beautifully-planned Eucharistic celebration presided by Father John Baxter in the chapel of our Congregational House in Longueuil.

They received their medals of Mother Marie-Rose with best wishes and a warm welcome from Sister Beverley Wattling, provincial coordinator for Associates.

The Associates from our three Anglophone groups: “Marylose”, “In Her Footsteps” and “Richelieu Rose”, also renewed their annual commitment during this celebration.

Since the celebration took place on November 11th, Remembrance Day, a special candle ritual in which candles were lit in honour of those who have gone before us took place.

We remembered:

  • Associates who have died;
  • Sisters Jean Ann Livesey and Sister Ann Murphy who died this year;
  • SNJM Sisters who have died;
  • All those who have died in the cause of justice and peace.

On this day of remembrance, we were proud to continue to be called to live the charism of Mother Marie-Rose Durocher and to follow in the footsteps of all those who have gone before us.

This very meaningful celebration continued with a reception on the 5th floor which was so beautifully decorated for the occasion. In a spirit of joy, we chatted with old friends and renewed acquaintances while enjoying delicious refreshments which were so elegantly prepared.
