Within the context of the activities for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Marie-Rose Durocher, on September 16th, some visitors were welcomed to Marie-Rose Centre, in Longueuil, to visit the heritage sites of the Congregation.

Among the invited guests were Marie Malavoy, deputy of Taillon, Bernard Drainville, deputy of Marie-Victorin, Albert Beaudry, municipal councillor in Longueuil along with several journalists from the South Shore newspapers.

After having been warmly welcomed by Sister Lorraine St-Hilaire, General Superior, the guests visited the Chapel, the Museum and finally Mother Marie-Rose's bedroom that has been maintained in its original form.  The visit concluded with refreshments at the Foundation House, which is adjacent to the Congregational House.

The discovery of treasures preserved by the Congregation is a testament to the vitality of its early beginnings and its present lived reality.
